Frequently asked questions

What shall I bring?

Please bring a soft towel or blanket for your baby to lay on

Do I need to bring oil?

There will be organic oil provided during sessions and a patch test will be carried out during the introduction on Monday 1st July 2024. You are also welcome to bring your own oil if preferred but we wouldn't recommend certain well known Baby oils

Can I feed my baby during the session?

Yes, we encourage parents to respond accordingly to their babies throughout the session. Where possible we'd advise you to feed your baby before attending to allow them to be settled and enjoy the massage.

What shall I wear?

We will be sitting on the floor for the sessions, so it is advised that comfortable clothing is worn.

Is there parking available?

Yes, there is paid parking around Grafton Square or Sainsbury's (rules may apply)

What is the closest stations?

Clapham Common and Wandsworth Road are both within a 10 minute walk from the venue. If you're using a buggy, please note: Wandworth Road is not a step-free station.

Can I still participate if my baby has medical requirements?

We'd advise asking a medical professional if massage is suitable for your baby before booking on.

Do I need to attend all 5 sessions to complete the course?

All attendees must attend the 1st session on Monday 1st July . In order to get the benefits we'd advise for all sessions to be attended. We'll be focusing on a different part of the body each week.

Are tickets refundable?

Unfortunately, we're unable to offer refunds once your space has been booked. If you or your baby are unwell, please get in touch as we'll try and accommodate an alternative where possible.

What shall I do if I'm unable to attend one week.

Please send an email to info@freethatmind.co.uk to inform of your absence at least 24 hours before the session.

Can I attended if my baby has just had their vaccination?

Due to the area usually being tender, we wouldn't advise carrying out massage until 48 hours after your baby has had their vaccinations. If you still wished to attend to observe the technique and socialise, you're welcome to come along.

Can I attend with twins?

Yes, of course please do attend but there would need to be an adult for each child. Please also get in touch on info@freethatmind.com for a discount code for twins.

Are mothers and fathers welcome?

Due to spacing we ask that for one parent/carer per child each week, but both mothers or fathers are welcome to bring their little one and you can also alternate on a week to week basis, so you both get the chance to learn massage techniques

What is the age range for Baby Massage?

We welcome babies from 6 weeks to pre-crawlers
