March Lunch & Learn: Cincinnati Ronald McDonald House

The Ronald McDonald House of Greater Cincinnati is a nonprofit organization that welcomes more than 2,000 families each year while their children receive treatment at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital and other medical facilities in the area.

RMH’s mission is to provide a “home away from home” for those families with critically ill children, thus allowing the families to obtain a sense of normalcy.

The RMH volunteers create a culture of giving and gratitude that spreads throughout the organization.

Through daily meals, activities, shuttle services to the grocery and common spaces, the volunteers provide a much-needed sense of calm to the stressful circumstances these families are experiencing.

Mike Wineberg, the Director of Volunteers at The Ronald McDonald House since Aug. 2015, will be our guest presenter at the March 28 Lunch & Learn.

Winberg came to the RMH after 10 years in the marketing and public relations corporate sector.

With a true passion and a desire to change his career path to nonprofit, this position was a true dream job for him.

As Director of Volunteers, Wineberg oversees 350 individual guest volunteers and oversees a department that hosts meals, snacks and activities everyday of the year.

Please join us for our next Lunch & Learn on March 28 at 11:30 am. Lunch will follow the presentation at noon. For lunch reservations, pleas call Nancy Hunter at 441-7207 or email Hunter at hunter@zoomtown.com.
