VOLUNTEER NEEDED—The Altar Committee is in need of a volunteer to assist with the setup of the Communion table between services. This is a commitment of approximately 15 minutes after the end of first service each month. You may contact Nancy Hunter at 441-7207 if you are interested in helping.

WUCC SUMMER PROGRAM ITEMS— Washington UCC offers a free 8-week summer ministry program to children in its Camp Washington neighborhood. WUCC would appreciate our help in collecting the following items for use in this program: egg cartons, cardboard tubes from paper towels, and Pringles cans. Please place these items in the box in the narthex marked “WUCC Summer Program.” Thank you for your support of this local mission!

THE ILLUMINATION YOUTH GROUP— will be meeting here at Christ Church through May and we are looking for just two more dinners provided ~ May 21st and 28th. Please consider providing a simple meal, donations should cover your cost. Dinner is on Wednesdays at 5:30 and ends at 6:00. Please contact Julie if you are able-thank you! 441-4494 or

SPRING CONCERT– St. Thomas Choir & The Contemporary Liturgical Ensemble with Christina Nam under the direction of Esther Nam at St. Thomas Church, Ft. Thomas on May 18th @ 3pm. A reception, hosted by both choirs, will be held in the Activity Center following the Concert. Donations accepted

JUNE 8 – PENTECOST – CHURCH BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION Combined service at 10 AM with everyone wearing red. Birthday party will follow the service with a meal of pot luck meat   dishes, vegetables, tossed salad (provided); decorated cakes for each of the 12 months of the year and ice cream (provided); fellowship and games. Please sign up on list in narthex or by the coffee urn to make a meat dish, vegetable, dish, or decorated cake. Plan on a day of celebrating the birth   of the church!

FAIR TRADE CHOCOLATE EVENTJune 11th from 6:00 – 8:30 pm at Ft. Thomas Coffee  Have you ever wondered where your chocolate comes from? How it is made? How does it grow? Why it tastes so delicious? Come to the Fort Thomas Coffee for a presentation on Fair Trade Chocolate. We’ll learn all about chocolate and what is fair trade. 10,000 Villages (the fair trade store) will be leading the presentation and selling other fair trade items (just in time for Father’s Day).

The cost is free to attend, however chocolate tastings are $5.00 in advance and $7.50 at the door. Tickets are available at Christ Church or 10,000 Villages. Christ Church UCC will provide free drip coffee and iced tea. All proceeds will go to the 10,000 Villages Special Artisans Fund. Questions? Call or text: 859-609-1743.

CHILD CARE – Childcare is now available between 8:45 am and 12:15 pm on Sunday mornings for kindergarten age and younger.

SUNDAY CHILD CARE – The Christian Education and Worship/Music programs have recently collaborated to provide paid child care on Sunday monrnings from 8:45 am-12:15 pm. An extra “pair of hands” is needed during the worship services. If you would be willing to give an hour of your Sunday morning, once every 5-6 weeks, helping to nurture our youngest members, please contact Donna Stinson @ 781-9787.
